The RiverCenter hosts One Week: Silent Film for Assisted Living Facilities, etc.
Starring comedy great Buster Keaton, One Week is the hilarious 1920 short film about a newlywed couple who receives a kit house as a wedding gift. The instructions describe how to construct the house by assembling materials in numbered packing crates. The house arrives in the crates, but what the newlyweds don’t know is that a rejected suitor has renumbered them! All manner of shenanigans ensue, immersing the audience in laughter! Organist Ron Carter will provide the soundtrack for the film, as well as performing a selection of familiar tunes from various genres and eras.
This special FREE hour-long performance is intended for individuals in assisted living facilities, needing memory care accommodations, or other special assistance to enjoy a program especially for them.
