Function:
Act courteously in providing information, assistance and directions to visitors and patrons in the district as required. Provide a level of hospitality and customer service. Serve as Goodwill Ambassadors, information services and as positive welcoming advocates for the district.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and/or (2) years of college education in related field.
Minimum age of 21.
Excellent communication skills.
Good physical condition - Willing and able to walk and stand outdoors in extremes of climate for eight hour shifts while carrying approximately (5) pounds of equipment.
Ability to work day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work well with others.
Stable work history.
Successfully pass pre-employment tests: controlled substance screen and background investigation.
Responsibilities:
Provide information, assistance, and directions to visitors and patrons in the district.
Be visible and accessible to the many different patrons of the Uptown area; This includes: property owners, business owners, office workers, and visitors.
Interact with people from all over - community and visitors; Visitor impressions of the Uptown area will be based largely on your hospitality and service.
Help ensure that all who visit Uptown, leave with the memory of an enjoyable experience so they will likely return.
Keep an eye out for individuals that look like they need assistance.
Always look for ways to make visitors and members of the community happy.
Respond to questions in a positive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic manner.
Demonstrate that you know and love Columbus and your willingness to talk it up!
