The Columbus Cup
APRIL 11-12, 2025
Join us on Friday, April 11th from 5 - 7 P.M. at Waveshaper Island for a Paddle Party! This is an opportunity for freestyle kayakers of all skill levels to convene and play together in the water. Medalists from the 2023 Freestyle Kayaking World Championships will be on hand showing tricks and offering tips to make your time in the water more fun.
Saturday, April 12th The Columbus Cup at Waveshaper Island will be from 11 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. This freestyle kayak competition will select the Columbus Cup winners and award over $10,000 in cash prizes. Paddlers may use a kayak or a canoe. The K1 field includes $2,000 for the winner, $1,500 for the second, and $1,000 for the third. The Junior division has a minimum field of 5 participants for both men and women. The prize money includes $500 for the first, $250 for the second, and $100 for the third. The fourth and fifth-place finisher for both divisions will receive a swag bag from Whitewater Express.
The competition will include a mandatory competitor meeting. The schedule will be released before the event, pending confirmation on water flows.
