Saturday, April 12th The Columbus Cup at Waveshaper Island will be from 11am to 2pm. This freestyle kayak competition will select the Columbus Cup winners and award over $10,000 in cash prizes. Paddlers may use a kayak or a canoe. The K1 field includes $2,000 for the winner, $1,500 for the second, and $1,000 for the third. The Junior division has a minimum field of 5 participants for both men and women. The prize money includes $500 for the first, $250 for the second, and $100 for the third. The fourth and fifth-place finisher for both divisions will receive a swag bag from Whitewater Express.

The competition will include a mandatory competitor meeting. The schedule will be released before the event, pending confirmation on water flows.
